One more step up in the ranks!
Nov. 8th, 2004 05:43 pmYesterday, I went mining for Nabiki. It was hard work! There were a lot of other people running around trying to find good places to dig, so it was very competitive. Well, I finally went through the stack of pickaxes Nabiki told me to use (I never realized they broke so easily. Wow.) and headed back into Bastok. I still remember when I spent months there - in and out of those mines - trying to find help to fight that dragon...
In return for my mining time, Nabiki's going to help me with some of the rank missions. She's so nice. ^^
Then, today, I rode a chocobo (back) to Jeuno. I'm getting really sick of riding chocobos from Bastok to Jeuno to Bastok. But this time, I headed to Port Jeuno instead of back out. A few weeks ago, I handed in those old keys I found on some of the Beastmen, and today, I rode the airship for the first time! It was so cool! We were waaay up in the air and you could see for miles!
I wanted to explore Kazham. I don't have the gil to buy a map (I needed a lot of new armor...) so I need to work completely from memory here. I found a traveling moogle and the exit into the jungle, but by then, I was really tired... I don't want to go fight today. I'd rather just find some dinner and take a nap. ^^;
In other, unrelated news, most all of Vana'diel was soggy today. I got soaked with riding that chocobo. Thunder in Konschtat, night in the dunes, more thunder in La Theine... Jugner is always gloomy, and it was evening - and overcast - again by the time I got to the Batallia Downs. I'll probably catch a cold now. Good thing Kazham's so warm and not wet...
